The electrical heating element, for fluid media, consists of a resistance wire enclosed in an electrically insulating sheath inside an outer sleeve. The resulting heating assembly fits into an oval metal tube. The tube's minor dia. is equal to the heatin assembly's outer dia. The metal tube is then compressed so that two radial heat-transfer fins are produced and the centre part of the tube follows the contours of the heating assembly.
