<p>A filter for dust laden gas with horizontal filter tubes or bags, has a free space left between the free ends of the filter elements and the filter casting. An elbow-shaped duct extends over the length of the filter and discharges the dust laden gas into the free space; the larger radius of the elbow continues into the filter casing rear wall. Centrifugal action removes all coarse dust particles which pass along the rear wall straight to the dust collector hopper, effecting a precleaning and relieving the filter elements of a major part of the dust.</p> |
