Humidity control of air stream - uses regulated mixture of air and steam with correction for air intake conditions

The production of an air stream with a specific humidity is achieved by the mixing of fresh air with superheated steam in a continuously regulated process. Air is drawn into a duct by a blower where it is then processed in a heat exchanger before having steam added in a controlled expansion section. For a specific dew point temperature and superheat condition the regulation process must be corrected by a variation dependent upon the actual condition of the intake air. If the humidity content is too high the temperature is increased slightly.
