The mounting ring, or similar frame, for lighting fittings is made up from prefabricated profile pieces, interconnected by fixing media, using joining components at their ends. The profile pieces (1) incorporate a lug (3), with a hole (5) through it, running over the entire fitting surface (2) for a counter profile piece. They also have bolts (4), engaging in a recess (8) or passing through holes (9) in eccentric pieces on this counter piece. This is down in such a way that a cavity is created between the fitting surfaces of the profile piece and its counter piece. Pieces and counter pieces can be assembled, and joined by bolts round eccentric pieces, and adhesive can be sprayed into the cavity.
