The lathe chuck has radially displaceable jaws with wedge bars displaceable in the chuck body approximately crossways to the chuck axis. The bars, by formation of an inclined toothing with tooth fillets, engage in corresponding tooth gaps in the clamping jaws. Centrally fitted in the chuck body is a clamping housing. This housing (7), by axial feed in the chuck body (1), uses an axially displaceable drive bolt (8) between it (7) and each wedge rod (3). This bolt (8) is on the one hand in drive connection with the clamping housing (7), and on the other hand is engaged with the wedge bar (3) via a gear (9).
|
