Machine for treating potato residues - uses two separate rotating perforated cylinders to remove washing liquid and compress residue

The machine is used to treat the residues resulting from the industrial preparation of potatoes. It comprises a horizontal pipe (15) for the washing liq. and solid waste entering and passing into a surrounding perforated cylinder (12). This rotates and the liq. and smaller particles are deposited in a tank (11) below, a brush (22) keeping the perforations clean. An internal screw flight (14) pushes the remaining residue out of the cylinder, to fall ina hopper (24) and pass into a second similar cylinder (13) underneath. Another screw flight (27) spring loaded axially compresses the residue against a cone-shaped outlet, the remaining water being extruded through the perforations.
