The surface of polyvinylidene fluoride is treated by applying to it a soln. of polyurethane in at least one polar aprotic solvent. The solvent is then eliminated from the soln. at 50-300 degrees C. The polyurethane can subsequently serve as an intermediary in making a third (co)polymer adhere to the polyvinylidene fluoride. The (co)polymer is e.g. a polyester, epoxide, silicone, polysulphide, chlorinated rubber, polyurethane, acrylonitril-butadiene-styrene resin, or a phenolic polyvinyl or polyacrylic material.
|
