Centrifugal sepn. of dispersion into their components phases is made easier by dissolving a gas in the dispersion prior to, or during, the sepn. Process is used for centrifugal sepn. of dispersions such as polymers or proteins in fluid media. In systems with high viscosity or small density difference between the phases, the degree of sepn. is improved and the throughput of the separator is increased.
