The installation comprises a shredder (12), a sieve (32), a first cyclone (46) whose base opens onto a grinder (50) for converting the waste selected in the sieve into particles, a second cyclone (65) with a sluice (67) opening onto a magnetic separator (80), a mixer (95) located between the magnetic separator and a press (102). This press converts the particles into granules; it is arranged upstream of a cooler (125) from which the granules are transferred into a storage silo (141).
