<p>Process and device for treating prods. in an enclosure, esp. in an autoclave, involves the introduction, at the start of the cooling stage, of a portion of the cooling liq. from the preceding cycle; a considerable economy of cooling liq. is effected. The device includes a reservoir for holding a portion of the cooling liq. which has already been circulated through the autoclave and means for introducing the fluid contained in the reservoir into the autoclave. The autoclave is used for sterilising food prods. and the material to be cooled is at a temp. of 100 degrees C; it is cooled to 40 degrees C, with water at 20 degrees C. The device acts as a water economiser and instead of evacuating all the cooling water from a fresh water reserve, water is used which has already been recovered at the end of the cooling phase of the previous cycle, this water having been stored in the reservoir.</p> |
