Electrically operated bed rocking device - has eccentric weight driven at approximately 1.5 Hz to rock bed to induce sleep

The sleep inducing rocking device is attached to an ordinary bed. The rocking frequency is equal to 1.5 Hz, but can be regulated to between 1 and 2.5 Hz. The device is screwed onto the leg of the bed (1, 2, 3) at either the head or foot of the bed. The vibrator is composed of a motor and reducing gear (4) strapped to a support (5, 6) separated by an isolation pad (7). The pad may be of a plastic material to silence the purring noise of motor unit. The motor drives an eccentric weight to produce the rocking movement of a child's or adult's bed.
