<p>The scaffold frame (1) is designed to be supported underneath the roof (3) of a building under construction or repair. The frame has a U-shaped tubular frame (5) each end, across which wooden planks may be laid. These in turn are supported by horizontal members (13) at the top, immediately under the roof. The outer vertical leg (7) of the U is fitted with an inner tube (18) which slides telescopically to a required height. It is then locked by a clamp. The horizontal member has two members which slide to give a required length. The outer one carries a hook for retaining a cross bar mounted across the tops of the inner legs of the U-frames.</p> |
