<p>Compsn. for removing water from solid surfaces comprises a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent (I); >=1 oxyalkylene-substd. amine (II) or their salts, and >=1 substd. amine salt (III) of formula (R1OCOCH2.CH(SO3)COOR1)-HNR3R4-R5+, (where R1 is 1-20C (hydroxy)alkyl r 7-26C alkylphenyl. R3, R4 and R5 = H, 1-20C (hydroxy)alkyl or a polyoxyalkylene gp. but cannot all be H). The acids used to form salts with (II) are of formula R1COOH, R2(COOH), R1SO3H, R1OSO3H, R1OPO3H or (R1O)2PO2H (where R2 is 1-10C alkylene). Quat. ammonium salts with an oxyalkylene gp. in the cation, and the anion derived from one of these acids can also be used. Pref. (II) and (III) are 0.05-10 wt.% on (I) and (III) is 1-50, esp. 5-30 wt.% of (II) + (III). Used for treating metls, ceramics and plastics. Water is quickly and efficiently removed and quickly separates from (I) without tending to form an emulsion. The agents retain their activity for a long time.</p> |
