The fodder metering device for alternating rations can be situated at milking points for cows. There is a conveyor (6) which supplies two adjacent cow stalls at its appropriate delivery end and is arranged within a supply container (1) fed from the fodder conveyor system. The conveyor can be set in operation in both directions according to the amount of fodder required by a particular animal. The supply container consists of two mirror-image, connected plastic shells (2, 3), in which support paths for the conveyor device are formed. There is a dividing well (10) in the middle part of the supply container (1), directly above the conveyor device (6) and extending transverse to this.
