<p>Heat reflecting plastic foil having its surface covered by at least one metal layer. The foil (12) is a durable, thermally stable, high-heat resisting polymer such as a polyimide, and have a glossy surface (14) this provided with an adhesive layer (16) covered by a reflecting metal layer (18). The foil plastic e.g. polypyro-mellitimide and, by means of a second adhesive layer (26), a heatstable support material (24) is attached to this plastic foil (12). The two adhesive layers are thermoplastic, e.g. phenolic, resins rendered adhesive by heating, and the metal layer is vacuum deposited aluminium. Highly flexible, heat reflecting cheap laminate having on one surface only, a single metal layer. It withstands the effects of moisture and repeated folding and creasing.</p> |
