<p>The mounting for a long radome on the underside of an aircraft fuselage includes a distance piece (3) with flanges (4, 6) attached to the fuselage (1). The upper flange (4) conforms to the contours of the fuselage (1). The lower flange (6) has a flat surface (7) which abuts against the flat surface (8) of the flange of the radome (2). The bolt (9) is fitted with spring washers (13) and a flat washer (15) and passes through an elongated hole in the flange (6). This elongated hole permits relative movement between the surfaces (7) and (8). In addition these surfaces (7) and (8) and the surfaces (17) of the washer (15) are lubricated to facilitate this relative sliding.</p> |
