<p>The portable x-ray unit has an x-ray source (5) and a detector (6), held in a fixed spacing by a support arm (7) allowing the source (5) and the detector (6) to rotate about two axes. The source (5) and detector (6) can be rotated about a third axis, without requiring rotation about either of the former two axes. Pref. the support arm (7) can rotate about the first axis and is curved with the source (5) and detector (6) secured to opposite ends. This arm (7) is fitted to an intermediate arm, which can rotate about the third axis, with all three axes pref. lying in the same plane.</p> |
