<p>Terminal wire comprises at least one channel formed by the terminal body, and at lest one contact element for the wire. When the terminal is assembled, a compressible permanently resilient sealing material which is moisture-impermeable at least when compressed abuts against the wire, forming a seal between the contact element and the outer surface of the terminal. The sealing material is pref. open-cell polyurethane foam impregnated with bitumen, and consists of a sleeve surrounding the wire in the region of the channel. Moisture cannot penetrate to the contact points.</p> |
