A wall forming the side of a swimming pool or water channel is made up of a pattern of triangular bricks. Each brick (A) has a recess at the rear so that a second layer of triangular bricks (3) can be housed behind the outer layer. At the corner (C) of each recess is located a resilient seal (D). The corner of each rear brick (B) can be chamfered near the seal. This allows a certain amount of realignment of the bricks in the wall to conform to alterations in the direction of the surface behind the wall.
