Homogeneous mixt. of down and synthetic fibres is produced by acting on the down and fibres mechanically and pneumatically in the interior of a vessel. Used for filling eiderdowns and pillow cases. Homogeneous mixt. is produced from the two components which have been found difficult to mix. Pref. the pneumatic action which takes place with the aid of air is effected at right angles to the mechanical action.
