<p>The wrapping machine hot sealing mechanism has two pairs of clamping jaws on opposite sides of a doubled-over strip of sheet material. The jaws on one or both sides are movable, and permanently heated sealing jaws are provided on one side. A movable parting device is mounted between the clamping jaws on one side. The two sealing jaws are formed (46, 48) by a narrow rib on a common sealing beam (24), and are separated from each other by a narrow slot deep enough to accommodate the parting device (42). The beam is supported by two or more rests on a parallel mounting beam, one at least of the rests allowing a relative sliding movement between the beams in their lengthwise direction.</p> |
