<p>New Cu azomethane complexes are of formula (I). In (I) X = H, Cl, Br, 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy, nitro, CF3 or -COOY, Y=H or 1-5C alkyl; R1 and R2 are each H or one is H and the other is -C COOY, providing that one of gps. X, R1 and R2 is a -COOY gp. (I) is for use as a pigment which may be used in finely divided form in a solvent. It is useful in the prodn. of lacquers, and for colouring high mol. wt. plastics materials and printing pastes.</p> |
