<p>The roller has a built-in cooling fan which is fitted on a shaft and on its outer circumference the roller has polishing discs clamped. Two multi-stage axial blowers are arranged inside the polishing roller, feeding from both ends to the centre where the blower outlet orifices open into an annular chamber which encloses the blowers. The cross-sectional surface of this chamber reduces to the ends of the axial turbine. The chamber is in turn bounded by a casing with outlet bores which feed the air between the polishing rings. The drive of the rotor of the axial blower is separate from the polishing roller (10, 11, 12), which forms the blower housing with the guide blades (22).</p> |
