The cooler has a milk container and an agitator device whose shaft is connected with the take-off side of a reduction gearbox. The shaft (14) is connected with the reduction gearbox through a single, elastic component (25) in the form of a coil spring which allows a relatively large angle of turn. This connecting component (25) is formed by a spring section which has relatively few windings of relatively large pitch. The connecting component is coaxial with the shaft with one end on the gear (17) of the take off worm drive. The other end of the spring engages on a carrier part (21).
