The machine contains a loop of material on which the electrophotographic image is formed, for transfer to paper. The material is made two-ply, one ply being of insulating plastic and the other of a plastic whose electrical conductivity is between 10-4 and 10-9 omega -1cm-1, pref. graphite-contg. PTFE. This avoids the use of chemically corrosive contact fluids which attack the electrode.
