1512309 A glass-composition HERCULES Inc 7 Dec 1976 [8 Dec 1975] 50982/76 Heading C1M [Also in Division C7] A metallizing composition for firing on a substrate such as glass, ceramic or metallic, comprises in per cent weight (a) 50-88 of at least one powdered metal, e.g. Au, Ag, Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, (b) 2-40 of a crystallizable glass frit comprising 40-70 SiO 2 , 10-31 Al 2 O 3 , 3-20 Li 2 O, 2-15 B 2 O 3 , 0-4 As 2 O 3 . 0-5 Na 2 O, 0-5 K 2 O, 0-6 Bi 2 O 3 , 4-19 ZrO 2 and/or 1-10 TiO 2 , (c) 5-48 inert liquid and (d) 0-20 inert filler or pigment. A silver stain may be applied to the substrate prior to coating with the metallizing composition which is then fired at 590‹-900‹C. |
