The headlamp washer jets are fitted on the ends of arms (10) pivoted about horizontal axes at the bottom edges of the headlamps. As the washer fluid is forced into the jets they pivot backwards and increase the spacing from the headlamp lenses for improved effect. The link between the arms and the ducts can be provided by a flexible bellows (16) which extends when under pressure, while the washer jets are extended against the action of a return spring.
