The fluid distribution system consists of a number of individual horizontal supply chambers, to apply fluid by static pressure onto a surface passing close by. Additional individual chambers cross below distribution channels, which have advance units. Connecting bores link each distribution channel to each supply channel with open or closed plugs to form or seal the fluid connection. There are scanners, e.g. electrodes, to monitor the fluid level and control the fluid pressure. The plugs are of varying cross sections and shapes. There are elements for rapid lateral equalisation of the level of viscous fluids and the control of the distribution system relative to the application surface.
