Conveying synthetic resin mortar for floors - using devices used for feeding viscous compsns. and spraying with compressed air onto substrate

Synthetic resin mortar, consisting, by wt., of (a) 15-30 (18-25)% binder, (b) 70-85% filler and opt. standard additives and pigments, where (a) + (b) = 100%, are fed by conveyor systems for highly viscous compsns. and sprayed evenly onto substrates by means of a strong jet of compressed air. Large surfaces, as well as sub-divided, irregular floor spaces, can be coated quickly, evenly, without a seam, and without blisters. Coating efficiency is high. Typically, a mortar compsn. contg. 23 wt. % binder, consisting of epoxy resin and polyaminoamide hardener, was sprayed on a floor with 4-5 atmos. excess pressure of compressed air.
