[Also in Divisions A3 and E2] An attachment device for labels comprises a filament 1, a head 2 at one end and a cross-bar 3 on the other end, the device being made of thermoplastics and the filament having been stretched to reduce its cross-sectional dimensions and increase its strength by rearranging the molecules of the thermoplastics. The device is made from a blank the filament of which increases in diameter along half its length to a maximum adjacent the head 2. The stretching of the filament ceases at a point 8 adjacent the head. |
