The onion-tailing machine incorporates rollers running in needle-roller or plain bearings on supporting spindles. The mounting point of each spindle can move for a certain amt. both in the radial and in the axial directions, and incorporates a rubber bush vulcanised between it and the housing. The design allows the rollers to run out of line and to be reduced in dia. Noise is kept to a minimum.
