<p>A pipe joint as in the main patent, has an externally threaded fitting (2) one end for one pipe and having at its other end a chuck (3) for gripping the end of another pipe. The fitting is made in two parts respectively incorporating the threads and the chuck end of the fitting. The two parts fit one into the other, and the one part has at its free end an axial flange (12) swaged over a bead (11) on the other part. An O-ring seal (8) is placed between confronting end faces of the two parts at the inside of the outer part.</p> |
