<p>The regulator is for adjusting the transverse position of a road vehicle, fitted with a pneumatic suspension. The regulator is controlled by a switch and joins the air reservoir to two elements which control the pressures to bellows cross connected by pipes. There are two levelling devices which carry out an air switching action, operated by mechanical linkages in the vehicle suspension system. These are connected to the reservoir, the bellows, and to each system. These are connected to the reservoir, the bellows, and to each other via a pendular valve which can allow flow in either direction. When the vehicle is on a side slope the suspension is corrected to render the body vertical.</p> |
