<p>Device for distributing the ignition voltage in ignition equipment for internal combustion engines, with a distributing electrode which rotates while passing at a distance away from the fixed electrodes, is claimed. The distributing electrode and/or each of the fixed electrodes is made of a resistive material and is used as a suppressor, in conjunction with a coil of resistive metal wire wrapped around a carrier attached to the electrode. The resistive material for the electrodes has a high mechanical strength and a good resistance to sparks applied without machining to the electrode, e.g. by plasma spray vapour deposition, and is selected from substoichiometric oxides and resistive silicides and cermets.</p> |
