When thermostatic control valves are installed in public buildings or large residential blocks, there is a danger that unauthorised persons will alter the setting of the desired value to be regulated, which can lead to malfunctions in the whole system, and especially to increased heating costs. To prevent this, it is proposed that the desired value be modified not, as usual, by means of an easily accessible turning handle, but by means of a removable device (12) which takes the form of an insertable key, which can be positively coupled to an inner part (26) which can be screwed into the inside of an open casing (14). When it is screwed into the open casing (14), this inner part (26) displaces a further casing (32) of a thermostatic sensor with a movable piston (38) towards the valve seat (67, 70). This key (12) is accordingly used to preset this thermostatic control valve to a higher or a lower desired value. <IMAGE> |
