<p>PURPOSE:To increase the intensity of light integrated over time of an aperture for output without image deterioration by reading a single line of image data in a subscan direction from an image storage device, performing Fourier transformation of the readout, multiplying the Fourier-transformed value by the inverse number of the frequency characteristic of an image determined by the shape of the aperture for output, and performing Fourier inverted transformation of the product of the multiplication to obtain the image print data. CONSTITUTION:If a single page of image data is stored in image memory 42, a Fourier transform section 44 performs Fourier transformation of data which is read from a single line in a subscan direction (y) to obtain G(w). Next, the multiplier 46 multiplies G(w) by the inverse number of 1/H(w) of the response frequency characteristic of the system to obtain F(w). After this, a Fourier inverted transformer 48 performs Fourier inverted transformation of all the frequencies, if it receives F(w) and sends the data obtained by the inverted transformation to image memory 50. The above- described calculation is repeated at each position (y) in the subscan direction. Thus a single page of print data obtained by the calculation is stored in image memory 50. Then an output circuit 52 drives a linear LED array 2 for appropriate print data in image memory 50 for printing.</p> |
