A liquid fuel catalytic heater has a fuel reservoir 22, a combustion head 28 and a wick 32 to feed fuel into a vapour collection space 34 from which space the vapours flow to be burned by means of a catalytic element 40, the wick being slidably mounted in a tube 74 and adjusted by means including a lever 102 operated by a crank arm 130, the position of which indicates on a plate 134 the position of the wick. The lever 102 is mounted by a ball 110 in the side of a support tube 66 and has arms 104, 106 provided with forks 122 to engage a wick pin 108. |
