The beet harvesting, cleaning and loading machine has, in addition to the lifting mechanism, first and second cleaning and transport units, the latter delivering to an elevator and loader mechanism. The first cleaning and transport unit (2, 3) is mounted to the rear of the lifting mechanism (1), and directs the beet to the second unit (4, 5) alongside the latter, at the opposite end to the elevator and loader mechanism (6). The latter extends transversely in front of the second unit, part of it at least being above the lifting mechanism.
