<p>The device has three parts; a programmer, an indicator, and a measuring device. The programmer consists of a strip (1) which unwinds from a roller, and is written upon by a moving recorder-pen (3). The indicators consisting of a selector coupling and a friction disc drive mechanism. The recording instrument consists of a support (35) which slides along rails (36) and can be moved on an axle. The support (35) incorporates a hinge joint (42). A compass (44) sets the direction of the vehicle, and has, concentrically but independently of it, two cogged rings. There is also a device for reversing the direction of the vehicle.</p> |
