1320026 Rotary positive-displacement machines DANFOSS AS 11 Sept 1970 [20 Sept 1969] 43548/70 Heading F1F In a machine such as a gerotor-type pump, an annular sealing-element 3 is held against the gear ring 11 and wheel 12 by pressure applied to a chamber 36 through a passage 35 from a groove 25, which to balance the axial pressure in an outlet, or "pressure", groove 23 is identical in shape and axially aligned with the latter. To balance the radial pressure on the high pressure side of the ring 11 a recess 33 and a passage 32 connects a gap 34 between said ring and a housing ring 4 to the groove 23. Leakage fluid collected in a chambers 18, 19 and annular grooves 29, 31 escapes to an inlet, or "suction", groove 22 through a passage 26, a passage 27 and groove 24, and passages 30, 28. To balance the axial pressure in the groove 22, the groove 24 is identical in shape and axially aligned with the groove 22. Bearings 14, 15, 16 are provided as shown. (For Figures see next page) |
