<p>Contact of NH3 gas, opt. mixed with other components of saturating atms., with surface of metal constructional parts of furnace, in plant for nitriding constructional and tool steels, for anti-corrosive nitriding, low temp. carbonitriding, sulpho(carbo) nitriding and nitro-cementation in gas atm., is prevented by coating these parts with a non-metallic cohesive impermeable enamel layer resistant to heat and thermal shock, or with a refractory oxide, carbide, nitride, boride or silicate, applied to surface by plasma-burning or by spraying with use of binders, thus preventing NH3 catalytic decomposition. Pref. protective layer of refractory oxide is prepd. by coating metal parts of furnace with Al, Cr, Ti or other metal, on surface of which a thin layer of refractory metal oxide is automatically formed by oxidation.</p> |
