<p>The point, in particular a two bladed point, for suspended monorail tracks as used in underground mines has a locking mechanism attached to the extremity of the blade which engages at least on the top surface of the rail. When the extremity of the blade (7) is engaged in the locking mechanism (4, 6, 9) a catch is lowered into place. This catch consists of a rocking lever (23), carrying a friction roller (14), which is attached to a rocking shaft (25) operated by a piston (26) which supplies the power for the point. The rocking lever is controlled by hand and in the locked position it is past its neutral position (24) and the roller acts against a bolt (30).</p> |
