The intermediates II are prepared by reacting p-nitrobenzoyl chloride with an amine RNH 2 to form a p - nitro - N - substituted benzamide followed by catalytic hydrogenation of the nitro group. Pharmaceutical compositions of the compounds I with the usual excipients are anti-ulcer agents when administered orally or parenterally. The compounds may be administered alone. |
