Method for putting on a glove for medical use is carried out by inflating the glove, introducing the hand, then deflating the glove on the hand. The glove is pref. mounted on a ring (27) by expansion of the cuff section of the glove (29) around the edge of the ring, and the cuff section is detached from the ring after the glove has been deflated, by applying compressed air between the cuff section and ring. Alternatively, the glove is inflated by positioning it over an opening leading to a chamber, so that the glove is inflated by air passing through the opening, while pressure in the chamber is reduced to below pressure outside the chamber, causing the glove to be drawn into the chamber and inflated. The glove can be put on rapidly without an assistant, and without deposition of powder on the outside of the glove.
