Cured epoxy resins of high adhesive strength are prepared by curing a mixture containing a vicinal polyepoxide having an epoxy equivalent weight of greater than 1.8, a polyamine as curing agent, optionally a curing accelerator and a polyethersuccinimide or -ureide containing terminal amino groups having a molecular weight of from 4000 to 4500.
