In a first configuration (not shown) the power unit contacts the housing of the intensifier unit and thus the device is compact and easily carried. In a second configuration the power unit is turned through 90‹, Fig. 3, or 180‹, Fig. 4 relative to the intensifier unit so that the device can be supported in a balanced manner in front of either one of the observers eyes. The device may be supported on a carrier (13 Fig. 5 not shown) that can be applied around the observers head so that both hands are free.</p> |
