The electronic watch has an analogue display employing separate display elements (4..10; 11..14) running in radial lines for representing the hours and minutes hands. The display elements are mounted on at least one carrier disc (1) and are energised by a drive circuit supplied from a clock pulse generator, in radial sequence. Pref. the carrier disc (1) is transparent with two sets of display elements (4..10; 11..14) on the opposing sides of the disc (1). The display elements (4..10; 11..14) may be light-emitting diodes and/or liquid crystal display cells.
