<p>Appts. for supporting a bedridden patient comprises a collapsible non-slip frame, e.g. made of tubes, in which is inserted a back rest covered with fabric or plastic in front of which the pillow can be placed. Hands and arms can rest on the side sections. A sliding table top can be fitted directly onto the frame, for convenient eating and reading, and for greater stability of the appts. The appts. is lightweight due to its shape and material, thus saving labour for staff. As the back rest is fixed stationarily by screw connections, the patient is provided with max. safety when sitting up. When collapsed, the appts. is narrow for easy transport. Its open shape allows the bed coverings to be slid over the patient.</p> |
