Plastics blister package forming appts. in which a plastics foil has depressions for reception of tablets or pills and covered with a boiling bearing instructions has a heating station for the plastics foil, the station being formed by a pair of spaced plates, which are movable intermittently in the direction of movement of the foil and have differentially heated zones. Plates have a length which corresp. to the thermally deforming members, the plates being moved into contact with the foil on their forward stroke and out of contact with the foil on their return stroke. Appts. also includes a closing station at which guides feed a metallic foil over the foil in a laterally and longitudinally registered manner for centering of the instructions. Control of heat supplied to plastics foil permits use of different gauges of foil.
