<p>The preliminary profile is intended for girders with a depth of 600 - 1000 mm. and has a section with reduced thickness at the point where the web joins the flange. The thickness of the web between the points with reduced section is ca 150 mm, and 100 mm across the narrowest point 100 mm, while the flange thickness is 180 mm. The additional material present in the web between the two reduced points enables the web to be reduced to a greater extent than the flanges, without causing recessing of the flanged flanks in a universal rolling mill. At the end of this reduction of the web, the flanges have been rolled so that contact between all their parts and the rolls is ensured.</p> |
